The Livingston County Board met last night and heard from Mack and Associates pertaining to the annual audit.
Board Chairman Marty Fannin said this audit is done to check that all practices are in place and making sure funds are going to the correct place and being used as they should.
“I was very happy with the audit. We had one finding and our financial manager, John Klemmer, this is his first full year and his first full audit, so there are some things that will have to be done differently next year and they’ve already put those practices in place,” Fannin said.
This morning’s community forum with Fannin, where he will further detail the meeting, including a presentation from representatives of Enbridge and an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Streator, will be available at wjez.com later this morning.
