The City of Pontiac is asking motorists to avoid the area of Ladd and Reynolds Street today from 8 to 4. According to a notice from Street Superintendent Chris Brock, ComEd will be conducting line work at that intersection, which will require the closure of the railroad crossing at that intersection. Motorists traveling from the west are asked to use both the Washington and Howard street crossings, then Vermilion Street to gain access to the south side of town.
