The Relay for Life of Livingston County is kicking off the season with a 5K/1 Mile fun walk Saturday at 8 a.m. beginning at St. Mary’s Parish Hall in Pontiac.

A pancake and sausage breakfast follows the run and walk, which begins at 8 a.m. Registration for the race includes a T-shirt and entry to the breakfast.

Ashley Carroll, co-lead for the Livingston County Relay for Life, said this event is a good one for those who may not be able to make the actual Relay for Life, plus there are other opportunities offered.

“We will have forms we traditionally have at kick-off, like our survivor registration forms, our youth registration forms as well as luminaria for sale. At kick-off only, our luminaria will be only $5,” said Carroll.
