With weather warming throughout the area, the Pontiac Fire Department is posting opening burning rules for the City of Pontiac.

Pontiac Fire Chief Scott Runyon was a guest on a recent Community Forum, where he outlined what can and can’t be burned, the different kinds of allowed burning and what would constitute a call to the fire department.

“Try to get along with your neighbors the best you can. If the wind is blowing toward their house, it’s not a good day to start a fire. It just isn’t, because we’re going to get called and we’re going to have to come down there and put it out,” Runyon said.
