Congressman Adam Kinzinger was in Pontiac yesterday, which gave him a chance to talk to constituents and community leaders.

Kinzinger gave an update on his work on Washington, saying last year was one of the most productive years in congress, although it may not have been perceived that way.

“I’ve committed myself personally to saying ‘let’s stand for what we believe and let’s try to have an America that can discuss these issues again,” Kinzinger said.

Kinzinger said he tries his best to be accessible with traveling office hours and a call or email to his office.

“One of the most important things I can do is to represent. You can’t represent without listening to folks, so that’s why I try to be as accessible as I can,” Kinzinger said.

His Ottawa office can be reached by calling (815) 431-9271.
