“The Route 66 – The Road Ahead Initiative” is announcing a name and logo contest, giving people a chance to produce a name and logo for the new organization.

The goal of this contest is to identify and easy to remember name and recognizable logo to reflect the mission of the Road Ahead Initiative.

Bill Thomas, Chairman of the initiative’s steering committee, said the name is a little cumbersome and they’re looking for something more appropriate for marketing and branding purposes.

“We’re looking for an opportunity for everyone up and down 66, across the nation and even internationally to join us in coming up with a new name and logo for this new organization we are creating,” Thomas said.
