The Pontiac District 90 Board of Education recently approved a trip to New York City for students in the music department.

Superintendent Jon Kilgore said, while this trip can be kind of expensive, the participants are doing various fundraising efforts to pay for the trip.

“They fundraise in order to do that. They raise the monies plus the participants pay the bulk of it in order to go,” Kilgore said.

The trip has been scheduled for March 16 through 20, 2017.
