The Caring Pregnancy Center is looking to expand this May.

During a recent Community Forum, executive director Darleta Gramm and nurse manager Margie Sauder explained this expansion was to include a new medical clinic, which will add the help of a nurse and even give women a chance to have an ultrasound on-site. The new clinic will take a new name, which was voted on throughout the community.

“I think it’s going to be the Hope Medical Clinic, which we’re very excited about. We want to exist and offer hope to the community in many ways, so we were delighted that that resonated with the people we polled, and by a pretty good majority, they chose that,” Sauder said.

The Center will continue to offer what they’ve been offering for the last 30 years, which includes pregnancy tests and “Earn as you Learn” points, which gives new mothers the opportunity to earn baby items, like diapers.

The Caring Pregnancy Center is located at 202 N. Main Street. They can be reached by calling 842-2484. The full forum can be found on our Podcast section at wjez.com
