A Pontiac man was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted on two cases.

According to the Livingston County State’s Attorney, 26-year-old Rodney K. Griffin Jr., was sentenced for two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance after he pled guilty to selling heroin to police confidential informants.

The prosecution had argued for an 8 year sentence in each case, as Griffin had a previous felony conviction and was also on probation for that case at the time these two incidents happened.

Griffin will only be required to serve 50 percent of the total sentence and following his release, he will serve two years of mandatory supervised release.
