The Livingston County State’s Attorney, in a partnership with area police and service agencies, are starting forums for the county’s communities concerning prescription drug and heroin abuse.

Livingston County State’s Attorney Seth Uphoff was a guest on a recent Community forum and explained how these forums would work.

“These are issues with deal with in law enforcement and have for awhile. Any time you have drug issues, you have to find different ways to address and battle those. This is a new initiative we want to try that we think will be very successful,” Uphoff said.

The first two have been scheduled for Dwight on January 27 and Pontiac for February 3, with more details forthcoming. The full Community Forum with Uphoff where he details this program is available in our podcast section at wjez.com
