It’s been nearly four weeks since a Pontiac man went missing, and Pontiac Police are still investigating his disappearance.
Eighty-year-old Louis Lowery was reported missing in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 19. Ground, air and water searches, along with other aspects of the investigation into the whereabouts of Mr. Lowery have, so far, come up with not much for officers to go on and Tuesday morning brought with it rumors Lowery had been found.
According to Pontiac Police Major Dan Davis, unfortunately, that was untrue.
“Unfortunately, Mr. Lowery has not been located. The investigation is obviously ongoing and our detectives are following up with old leads and any new information we are continuing to receive,” Davis said.
Davis said the only credible sources for updates on the search for Lowery are the Pontiac website at Pontiac.org, or the Pontiac Police Department Facebook page.
