Water, fire and rescue units searched an area near Dwight after reports of a vehicle submerged in a creek Tuesday.
According to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, the report came in around 8 a.m. Tuesday of the vehicle submerged in a creek at the intersection of 3300 East 3100 North Road. Rescuers recovered a blue 2011 Hyundai Sonata and no occupants were found in the vehicle.
An extensive search of the area was conducted by Illinois State Police Air Operations and Dwight and Campus fire departments.That search resulted with no occupants of the vehicle being found.
The investigation is ongoing.
