An extensive search after a car was recovered from a Round Grove Township creek resulted in the recovery of the remains of Shawn Beaupre, 49, of Bourbonnais.

According to Livingston County Coroner Michael Burke, Beaupre’s car was located near 3300 East 3100 North Road by a passerby Tuesday and is body was found today not far from where his vehicle was located.

He was pronounced dead on the scene today at 11:01 a.m.

Dwight Fire Department was assisted in the search by Pontiac, Campus-Emington, Odell, Cornell, Fairbury, Forrest-Strawn-Wing, Saunemin, Cullom and Reading fire departments, along with the Dwight, Duffy’s and SELCAS EMS.

Burke said the Livingston County Sheriff’s Police are investigating the incident and an autopsy has been ordered.
