The Pontiac City Council met last night and approved a new overhaul of the City’s computer systems.
Pontiac Mayor Bob Russell explained that Entre Solutions II of Normal would be reconfiguring the networking hardware and software for all the City buildings, coming to a grand total of about $13,000.
“It’s going to bring us into the current century. The biggest concern is making everything safer, so we can’t lose all of our data,” Russell said.
The council also approved the Enterprise Zone ordinance and intergovernmental agreement, which Russell said would put the city in a pool of larger businesses looking for places to relocate.
