Downtown Pontiac will be lit with luminaries Thursday night.

PROUD is sponsoring the evening shopping event where the luminaries will be seen from the city sidewalks and participating downtown businesses will hold special holiday shopping hours. Santa will also be in his house on the north side of the square to greet children

This event begins at 4:30.
