The Pontiac District #90 Board of Education met last night and set a PE Waiver public hearing.

Superintendent Jon Kilgore said if students are current athletes or in marching band, those students are eligible to replace their PE classes with an additional academic class.

“We are required every two years to go through a waiver hearing and the requirement for that is it be outside of a regular board meeting, so we will have a public hearing at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30, in the District Office,” Kilgore said.

The 2016-17 school calendar was also approved and will be available on the schools website, Pontiac.k12.il.us, sometime in the next week.
