A new study found that when you end your texts with a period, people think you’re less sincere.

Yes, there’s a study for that.

With the new trend of emojis and gramatically incorrect phrases, the use of a period can be seen as less sincere.

Here’s an example, they found that if you respond to a text with “sure” or “glad you had fun” without a period, the person will assume you actually mean it. But, if you use a period, somehow that comes off as being less sincere.

If you want to come off as even LESS sincere, use an exclamation point.

But, keep in mind this study was done on college undergrads, so the rest of us may not even notice.
