Groundbreaking on Pontiac’s newest business addition happened last Wednesday.

The new hotel, the Hampton Inn, will be located near Exit 197 along Interstate 55. It will offer 79 rooms for guests plus meeting spaces for small groups.

The $6 million construction phase of the project is expected to be fully underway in the spring of 2016.
