A film documenting the life of a Pontiac man won an Emmy Award over the weekend.

“The Greatest Honor” was awarded “Outstanding Achievement for a Historical Documentary” at the 2015 National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Chicago Midwest Chapter Emmy Awards in Chicago.

The historical documentary details the World War II stories of John Amm, who arrived in Europe during the final days of the Battle of the Bulge. He also helped liberate several concentration camps.

This is the second Emmy Award for Executive Producer Kane Farabaugh, who also won an Emmy for the story about Amm’s son Roger Amm last year, “Something of Love: A Tribute to Roger Amm.”

There will be a special encore presentation on WTVP-TV at 9 p.m. Thursday and at Crescent Cinemas at 3:15 Sunday.
