The Pontiac Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, located at 903 West Custer Avenue in Pontiac yesterday afternoon.

Co-owner Todd Snedecor said they wanted a modern funeral facility and everything it brings to people of the community.

“Funerals are changing. People are wanting different things and the purpose and the use of the funeral home is kind of changing. We just knew what we wanted with a facility and working with what we had here, that’s how we came up with the facility we are in now,” Snedecor said.

They started construction in June of last year and is now officially using the building, moving business from its old location on Howard Street.
