YESTERDAY was Back to the Future Day, but we obviously needed to let the day run completely through before we could make any comments about what ended up coming true and what didn’t.
Let’s make two columns: What DID happen as predicted and what DIDN’T.
Here’s what did:
Nike made self-tying shoes into a reality yesterday. Obviously not widespread sales of the shoes, but Michael J. Fox got the first pair and all proceeds from next spring’s launch will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease.
A few more include flat screen TVs, smartphones and something similar to Skype.
NOW, here’s what didn’t happen:
