The Pontiac City Council met last night to discuss several future projects for the city.

One concerned the software that connects each department within the city, and Mayor Bob Russell explained how this new contract would bring Pontiac up to speed with other communities of its size.

“(Another measure that was approved) was a contract to bring all of our computers with all of our departments together. We are on overload right now and all of our computers are at capacity, so we’re having a consultant come in and see what he can salvage and what we need additionally,” Russell said.

Also discussed was final work being done on the Eagle Theatre and Conference Center, which is in its last stages of renovations. There will be a meeting held there in about two weeks and auditions for the first show were held last weekend.
