Sunny and warm weather was welcomed yesterday for the annual Conservation and Ag Expo at the Livingston County 4-H Park in Pontiac.
About 1,600 elementary aged students checked out several booths to learn about how conservation and ag affects everyday life.
Fifth grade students from Mrs. Garrett’s class at Washington School in Pontiac all said they enjoyed the day, adding they liked everything from being out in the beautiful weather and petting a tiger cub, to simply having time away from regular classes.
Students learned about recycling, water safety, farm and exotic animals and were treated to lunch around noon.
