The District 429 School Board met last night to a relatively small agenda.
School Superintendent Brian Dukes presented a tentative budget, which was approved at the meeting.
“Overall, our projections look like we’re going to be in the black. There are still a lot of unknowns with the state, so there are some concerns on the state level on revenue we will actually get. We’re trying to do our best to project and move forward. So, going into the tentative budget, we are in the black and hope to stay,” Dukes said.
All four principals also noted all their schools had a smooth start to classes for the year this week.
