After recording 13.1 miles of running for himself as a part of the Minonk team for the St. Jude Run a week ago, Livingston County State’s Attorney Seth Uphoff reported the team more than met its original goal.
Uphoff said they not only met their goal, but exceeded it, and credits some last minute publicity in the days leading up to the run.
“The people of Livingston County and the listeners of this radio station really came out and helped. After we had our radio broadcast, people opened their check books and donations started coming in. Within, I think, 24 hours of being on the radio, the team hit its goal of $100,000 and it didn’t stop there,” Uphoff said.
