A ribbon cutting will be held Thursday, Aug. 20 in Saunemin in celebration of a $1.5 million investment in Saunemin’s water system.

Illinois American Water’s Pontiac district completed the project, which includes enhanced water treatment technology, as well as new storage tanks to address water quality and reliability needs. It also included removing the existing water tower and replacing it with three new storage tanks.

The ceremony will be held at 18 Wellington Drive in Saunemin at 1 p.m.
