The Livingston County War Museum-Dal Estes Education Center acquired a new piece to its facility recently.
The Zebell Family, with the help from Pontiac Historian Dave Sullivan and the Pontiac Public library, was able to donate a World War II history book, filled with newspaper clippings collected during the war. The book originated in the Zebell family, and then was donated to the library. It was copied, the pages laminated, then donated to the museum.
Linda Zebell Keene said seeing that book brought tears to her eyes.
“It makes me cry because it’s valued here,” Keene said. “This museum is perfect for this.”
The book is on display and people can look through it when they visit the museum, located at 321 N. Main Street in Pontiac.
