With Springfield remaining in a budget deadlock, Senator Jason Barickman is looking for ways to make that impasse end.

Barickman was a guest on Community Forum with Todd Wineburner recently and admitted he believes the biggest problem is with the house speaker not looking to budge.

“I think the difficulty and quite frankly, the frustration that comes to people like me is we’re just not seeing any willingness from Speaker Madigan to move at all. The Speaker is just unwilling to negotiate in any manner with the Governor,” Barickman said.
