After more than 20 years in production, Normal’s Mitsubishi Motors announced plans to halt production at its plant.
The company is working to find a buyer to keep the plant open, to keep production running and not send 1,200 employees to the unemployment line.
Company officials have said they intend to work with the United Auto Workers and other leaders in doing what they can to keep business running from the factory.
