State education funding hasn’t been set in stone yet, but a preliminary decision was made about two weeks ago, which gives educators a light at the end of the tunnel.
Mark Jontry, Regional Superintendent of Schools for Livingston, McLean, Woodford and Logan counties, said his office is looking for a final decision, but in the meantime, aspects of the budget that had originally been cut are making another appearance.
“Agriculture education funding was restored, which was a very, very good thing,” Jontry said.
