The Livingston County War Museum-Dal Estes Education Center recently received accolades based on what visitors think of its attraction.

TripAdvisor, a website that helps people plan getaways throughout the world, from flights to sightseeing to restaurants, awarded the museum with the Certificate of Excellence based on consistency in achieving outstanding traveler reviews.

Jack Murphy, former president of the museum, said the whole group is surprised and thankful for the recognition.

“It makes us feel very good. We feel honored that people appreciate how we honor our veterans – the people that served. We’re honored that they recognize that. We feel very good about that,” Murphy said.

Murphy also said this will keep the volunteers on their toes to stay consistent with traveler reviews.
