“Insights from Women” hugely popular

Dozens of women in business gathered to hear “How Being Different Makes a Difference: Insights from Women” Friday afternoon at Caterpillar in Pontiac.

The event, which was sponsored by the Greater Economic Development Council, was a chance for women in the workplace to network and learn from each other, along with female professionals in multiple fields.

Raegan Rinchiuso was one of the attendees and said it was great to hear from the speakers.

“I think for me it’s been more, not necessarily learning as many new things as being reminded of things you know and maybe don’t think about a lot and forget about. It’s a chance to talk to other women who are dealing with the same things and just reminding ourselves that there’s things we know that we don’t think about all the time,” Rinchiuso said.

The GLCEDC is a public-private partnership comprised of businesses, individuals, and governmental agencies that believe in the importance of controlling the area’s economic future by taking a proactive and strategic approach to economic development.
