The Pontiac City Council will vote on the tax abatement proposal developed by Adam Dontz of the Greater Livingston County Economic Development Council tonight. Dontz has been visiting the meetings of several taxing bodies throughout the county, garnering support for the proposal. The latest positive vote came from the Livingston County Board last Thursday night. Other taxing agencies on board include Pontiac District 90 and Pontiac District 429. Also on the agenda is a discussion of the proposed housing development at St. James Place in Pontiac.The meeting begins tonight (12/15) at 7:00
The Zoning Board of Appeals will continue its series of hearings on the proposed Pleasant Ridge wind farm tonight. Invenergy Corporation has applied to construct a wind farm in the southeastern portion of Livingston County, and several hearings have already taken place. Tonight's meeting is scheduled for the Walton Centre in Fairbury at 6:30.
