More winter weather will pass across central Illinois throughout today and into Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory starting this afternoon. Its in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday.

The weather service says snow accumulations could reach 1 to 3 inches. Later in the night a wintry mix could cause some ice accumulation.

Snow across the area today then icy conditions later tonight could impact travel, especially during the evening commute.
