After the success of previous substitute teacher sign-up days in the Twin Cities, the Regional Office of Education will hold another one in Pontiac.

This Wednesday, the ROE will once again be searching for qualified subs as it continues to battle the ongoing teacher shortage.

The Substitute Teacher Sign Up Day will take place at the Regional Alternative School, 905 west Cluster Avenue, in Pontiac, from 1:00-3:00PM, with a short-term sub training seminar to follow.

The event will be a one-stop shop to apply for a substitute license, fill out paperwork and get fingerprinted.

For interested parties, a complete list of what to bring can be found on the ROE #17 website at www.roe17.org, or on the Pontiac Township High School facebook page. You can hear WJEZ’s complete conversation with Jontry by clicking the Podcasts link in the main menu at the top of the page.
