With the onset of spring, the Safe Energy Education Council is giving people a chance to learn safety when it comes to outdoor electrical boxes.

Kyla Kruse, communications director for the SEEC said these boxes are safe in and of themselves, but says it’s important people realize they do contain electrical equipment.

“Don’t open, tamper with them or obstruct access to them by planting all around them, trying to cover them or disguise them in any way, and if there is any damage, immediately report it to your utility,” Kruse said.
