Applications are being accepted for the George McKibben Memorial Scholarship for college juniors or seniors enrolled in an agriculture-related program at any state college in Illinois.

McKibben was a 37-year agronomist for the University of Illinois, who passed away in 1988. His contributions to agriculture are still seen today, with his research on no-till farming.

Students awarded with the $500 scholarships should demonstrate superior agriculture academic achievement, commitment to soil and water conservation and potential for innovation and leadership ability.
