The Route 66 Kite Festival is happening Saturday from 11 to 3 at the Pontiac Rec Plex south of Pontiac.
Route 66 Kites owner Anne Stephenson said there will be different kinds of kites in the sky that day, along with food and activities for the kids.
“There are two different teams coming – Fire and Ice will be there and 180 Go. Fire and Ice are a dual-line kite team and they fly to choreographed music. 180 Go flies quad lines, that’s four line kites, also to music,” Stephenson said.
