Two Pontiac residents were stopped on Interstate 55 Wednesday evening and were arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
According to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, Robert Simpson and Kelly Dougherty were arrested after an investigation led to the stop, which resulted in the seizure of 96 baggies of heroin weighing 36.6 grams.
Agencies involved in the arrest and investigation were the Livingston County Proactive Unit, Dwight Police and the Dwight K9 Unit.
