The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will begin on Thursday, October 1 and concludes May 31 (or until funds are exhausted). Applications will be taken by appointment only for the 2015 LIHEAP application period.
The focus of the program is gas heat and electric services. Payment amounts will be based on household size and 30-day income, among other factors.
For eligibility information or to make an appointment, call the Pontiac office at 815-844-3201 on or after October 1.
