By Todd Wineburner

The latest figures from the Livingston County Health Department show 37 new cases of COVID-19 infection and two more fatalities related to the disease.

The latest numbers reflect findings from February 23rd to March 1st and they leave the county with 74 active cases and 78 deaths from complications brought on by COVID-19 infection.

Drive-thru COVID-19 testing remains available at OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center. Scheduling appointments can be handled at the health department website at LCHD.US.

That website also includes information about vaccination clinics and who’s eligible to participate. The health department recommends that county residents contact their primary health care provider to see if a vaccination should be pursued.
