Plunge at Home for Special Olympics Illinois

For many years, WJEZ and other warm-hearted participants have taken the Polar Plunge to benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois. This year may look a little different but…

It’s not WHERE you Plunge, or HOW you Plunge, but THAT you Plunge. Sign up today for the At Home Plunge at!

Participating is easy as 1- Register to Plunge At Home, 2- Raise a minimum of $100 in donations from friends, family and co-workers, and 3- PLUNGE AT HOME anytime now through March 14! (Oh and don’t forget to take photos and videos of your plunge.)

So how do you Plunge At Home, you ask? Get in a snowball fight, run through the sprinkler in your backyard, have a family member dump water over your head. Get creative and have fun – but of course, be safe!

Each year, this support provides critical funding for the 23,000 brave athletes of Special Olympics Illinois so they can compete in year-round sports & training, health & wellness, and leadership programs, including virtual programming.

And if you don’t want to take the plunge yourself, you can donate to our Cumulus Radio Bloomington staff members who are plunging at home this year. (Click on the staff member’s name below to go to their donation page.)

Cumulus Radio Bloomington Participants include:

  • BUCK STEVENS – B104 Radio Personality – Polar Plunge Team Captain
