COVID-19 Numbers Continue to Climb

By Todd Wineburner

Eighty-seven new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported Thursday evening (11/19) by the Livingston County Health Department. That number does not include five new infected inmates at Pontiac Correctional Center or the latest fatality added to the statistics.

17 COVID-19 patients to date have succumbed to the disease, 438 cases remain active, and the county’s total infection count stands at 1,868. 1,413 of those previously reported have finished their isolation.

COVID-19 testing remains available at OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center. To reserve a test time, visit the LIvingston County Health Department’s website, LCHD.US. At that site, you can also find more information regarding the disease and its effect on Livingston County.
