New Day, New COVID-19 Statistics

By Todd Wineburner

65 more Livingston County residents have tested positive for COVID-19 infection. That word came from the Livingston County Health Department yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. Another name has been added to the fatality list, as well, as Livingston County sees increased levels of infection in keeping with the rest of the state.

These new numbers bring the totals to 1,776 positive tests overall with 430 active cases. 1,330 people have completed their isolation period and 16 people have died as a result of contracting the disease.

More information, including resources and programs for those fighting the disease, is available at LCHD.US. That website will also provide an opportunity to set a reservation for COVID-19 testing through the cooperative program between the county health department and OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht medical center.
