Another Livingston County Death Attributed to COVID-19

Another Livingston County resident died this week due to complications related to COVID-19 infection. In addition to the loss of life, the Livingston County Health Department reports that 27 new positive tests for the disease were reported by state officials on Thursday. That figure includes 16 permanent county residents and 11 inmates at Pontiac Correctional Center. One individual is now hospitalized with the disease, while the other most recent cases are recovering in isolation. 114 cases remain active overall. The most recent loss of life raises the county’s fatality total to 11.

COVID-19 testing is available in the parking lot of OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center by appointment from 8:30 until noon weekdays. Call the health department to arrange a time for testing by calling (815) 844-7174. There is no charge for the tests.
