Thursday Sees a Surge in Positive COVID-19 Tests

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported a surge of COVID-19 infections in LIvingston County on Thursday (9/17) raising the grand total for the county to 310. 16 new cases were reported yesterday in general, while 10 new positive tests were reported among the inmates at the Pontiac Correctional Center.

All of the latest cases are recovering in isolation. 37 cases remain active in the area. 5 people have died from COVID-19 complications since the start of the pandemic.
