The Livingston County Health Department is hosting a mobile COVID-19 testing unit later this month. Erin Fogarty, LCHD Health Education and Marketing Director, says the testing will be available from 8 until 4 on August 17th and 18th at the Health Department facilities at 310 Torrance Avenue in Pontiac. Anyone can visit the mobile unit regardless of insurance status.

The health department has also announced 5 new COVID-19 infections in the county. As of Friday, the total number of infections in the county stands at 110. 85 of those individuals are done with their quarantine period, while 23 cases remain active. One person is currently hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection and two people have died from complications related to the disease. More information is available at lchd.us.
