Livingston Workforce Services Has Grant Money Available

The Grundy Livingston Kankakee workforce board has made 320,000 dollars available to Livingston Workforce Services for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. The money will be used to cover the costs associated with obtaining a certificate or degree that will prepare applicants for employment in one of several growing job fields. GED testing, college tuition, educational supplies, and travel costs are all eligible expenses under the program.

The money will be available until June 30, 2021. Veterans, public assistance recipients, individuals who need basic skills training, and low-income individuals are all strong candidates for consideration. Over the last year, Livingston Workforce Services has made over 150,000 dollars available to applicants. For more information on the program, email [email protected].
