July Brings New Cases of COVID-19 to Livingston County

A young woman in her 20s is one of the latest cases of COVID-19 infection diagnosed in Livingston County. Erin Fogarty, Health Education and Marketing Director for the Livingston County Health Department, says that the state notified county officials about the case on Friday (7/17). The woman is recovering in isolation. Other cases were reported over the weekend as well.

According to the LCHD, 3,572 test results have been forwarded to county officials by the state. 63 cases of COVID-19 infection have been identified, and 57 of those individuals are finished with their isolation. Four cases in the county remain active and two individuals have lost their lives to complications following COVID-19 infection.14 of the people diagnosed with the disease were showing no symptoms when their positive test was returned.
