Two Pontiac residents have been taken into custody on drug charges. The Pontiac Narcotics Unit Thursday arrested Michelle McDonald, 37, and Gilbert Edwards, 50, for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.

During the arrest, the narcotics unit seized 187 Alprazolam (Xanax) along with a variety of other substances and drug paraphernalia. 4 cannabis plants were destroyed during the operation as well.  McDonald and Edwards are both in custody in the Livingston County Jail pending court hearings.
